Camp Yogi
May 15th & 16th, 2021

The Yogi JRT Race Demo is Saturday, May 15th, and our first 2021 Terrier Playday is Sunday, May 16th. 

O’Connell’s Jellystone RV Park, as a featured event for their Bark in the Park weekend, invited us to race our JRTs, to entertain their guests on May 18th and will host our Terrier Playday at their facility, May 19th.

Camp Yogi is almost here, prepare for this great weekend by:

  • Contact the vice.chair to coordinate your participation in the Race Demo. ***********Is this section relevant for this years event?*********
  • Coordinate your camping reservation and special camping rate by calling 815-857-3860.
  • Register your terriers for the playday on Sunday. ********Do we need an additional registration page for them to register their terriers? If so, please let me know what info you want to collect and I will create that page too********

Plan to attend, one day, two days, or the entire weekend.  We’ll be happy to have you! 

Schedule of events:

Friday, 14 May

  • After 3 pm – Check in to O’Connell’s Jellystone Park

Saturday, 15 May

  • 9 am – Jellystone Park Gate opens (no admission charge for JRT racing participants)
  • Noon – Racing participants, w/terriers, assemble at the Park Theater and Stage area.

Sunday, 16 May

  • 8 am – Early access for Playday participants (pre-registered participants will get a text msg to get through the gate)
  • 8:30 am – Playday registration, ($10:00/dog member and $20.00/dog non-member)
  • 9 am – Terrier Races (race till they drop)
  • Track tear down, then community lunch (Vacation Center), please bring a dish to pass
  • Noon – Go-to-Ground (Pet Walk), then tear down
  • 3 pm – Jellystone Park Checkout

Camp Yogi! 

O’Connell’s Jellystone Park offers a 40% discount camping rate to the Midwest JRT Club for their Bark in the Park weekend.  Reserve your campsite by calling 815-857-3860.  Special Note:  This discount is only available for called-in reservations (no website reservations).  State that you are with the Midwest JRT Club.  Reserved campsite block for the club are sites 21xx and 22xx.
